I tried to find some information on this topic. I could not find anything relevant. I wonder have any of you ever heard of anybody trying strobe LEDs on marijuana. Actually I am more interested in the effect of changing colors or color temperatures. Also I am interested in the timing of the strobe.
I am considering getting one of those smart LED lights that allows you to use your phone to change the color. I may be able to write my own software to control it. I'm curious to see what would happen to a plant that gets one second of blue and one second of red consecutively and repeatedly. What would happen during different stages of development if you give two flashes blue one flash red or the other way around. Two flashes red one flash blue.
What about flashing the different colors several times a second. Light from artificial sources already pulses but it pulses to fast for the human eye to detect it. That being said I don't think the flash will give the plant any kind of seizure. But would it benefit from cycling colors to both extremes? What if you cycle through the full spectrum? This might give your plant the effect of living under a rainbow. This could make it very happy :).
I'm interested to know if anyone has done any experiments like this and what kind of results they may have gotten?
What is your opinion on this?
