Firstly I choose auto flowers because I live in a region with a shorter growing season. Auto flower cannabis usually can be harvested between 6-8 weeks. I also like that these plants are smaller and can be stealthier for the urban garden grower. Not only do auto flowers grow fast, they can produce some big yields. The most significant aspect I would say is that these plants will flower on their own irrespective of the light cycles. Hence the name "Auto Flower". Apart from the short strains there are also bigger, heavier auto strains
that are almost as big as regular ones but will still flower
automatically and these are called the “SUPER” autoflowering plants.
This makes them ideal for the beginner IMHO. What might make them even better for beginners or worse depending on your beginner I guess. Auto flower cannabis does not like to be bothered. However if you follow a few simple rules you can grow some nice plants. Simply the rules are plant it, leave it, harvest it.

here. Once your seed has germinated and produced a good tap root you should plant it in its forever pot right away and never take it out of that pot. Then give it lots of light. You wont have to worry about light cycles or anything else. While there is much debate on the optimum light amount you should give from 18 to 24 hours of light to your plant a day.
Auto flower cannabis can be grown indoors or outdoors.
Indoors you can stealth grow in a small cabinet. You don’t need to worry about light cycles. You can grow flowering plants in a vegging grow area. From seed its only about 2 month to harvest.
Outdoors you can have multiple harvest in one season. Auto flowers can grow in any time of the year if the temperature is not below 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.
